Please, have an opinion

You have thought about this topic a lot.

You have had experiences that are valuable input.

We need you to express what you believe in.

Even though that can be frightening.

I understand that people may disagree with you.

And some people are clumsy or nasty in their response.

But we need you to share your wisdom.

It doesn’t mean you need to hold your ground.

It doesn’t mean you won’t listen to others and move your position.

Certainly, let’s gather all the data.

All the opinions. All the facts as we see them.

Let’s get them all on the table.

But we have no time for infinite loops.

We can’t stay forever in open-ended questions and possibilities.

At some stage, we need to act.

And your experience, gathered over years of effort, staked into the ground for us all to hold onto for a while, will move us forwards toward action

So, ask your questions and gather insight.

But then, for goodness sake, please have an opinion.
